Chagrin River Cyclocross was held Saturday, October 31, 2009 and Sunday, November 1, 2009. Sponsored by Solon Bicycle, the races were part of Team Lake Effect’s Cyclocross Series. Saturday’s conditions were very muddy on the wooded and singletrack portions of the cross course. Dan Quinlan proved he really does like to play in the mud finishing 3rd Saturday with Greg Flecher finishing 9th. Paul Martin (RGF-Panther) won the men’s race. Samantha House raced in the women’s field finished 3rd, Lee-Ann Beatty (UPMC) won the women’s race.
On Sunday, November 1st, the conditions were much more dry and the course was much faster. Ray Huang and Greg Flecher raced in the Men’s A race with Ray finishing 15th and Greg finishing 18th. Shawn Adams (Lake Effect) won the men’s race. Samantha raced in the women’s field and finished 2nd behind Leah Halloran (Team Spin.)
