On Saturday, December 19th, Samantha House was the sole representative for Carbon Racing at the last of the Cap City Cross Series Races held at Infirmary Mound Park. It was very cold, very snowy, and very muddy on the course but Sam held on for the win with Bridgett Donovan (Seven Cycles) finishing a close second.
On Sunday, December 20th, Samantha participated in the Cyclocross Winter Trophy Series hosted by FS Concepts. Although cold, snowy, and icy, the venue held at Hardesty Park in Akron, proved to be a ton of fun. Sam held out for the win with Julie Lewis-Sroka (Team Lake Effect) finishing in second place. Incidentally, Julie, suffered a broken fibula earlier in the cross season but is back racing and racing strong! There are still two more races left in this series for those of you who aren’t ready to hang up the cyclocross bikes just yet…
